The First Meeting Philadelphia, July 25, 1929

The first meeting appointed of the Committee authorize appointed On July 18 to establish a new [?] by Presbyterian conservatives on July 18 To establish a new theological seminary in Philadelphia was held today at eighteen Sixth Street, Philadelphia, where an office has been placed at the disposal of the moment by Mr. Morgan H. Thomas of the Garrett-Buchanan Company, who will act as Treasurer. Dr. Robert Dick Wilson, Oswald T. Allis, and Dr. J. Gresham Who served at Princeton Seminary

Who have hitherto served in Princeton Seminary [?] when recent reorganization were present with the committee In an advisory capacity The members of the committee who have the following are being asked to serve in the the Committee as the [?] [?] Mr. Fred M. Paist, Chairman Mr. Relan K. Armen, Rev. Charles Schall, Rev. Samuel G, Craig, Dr. Rev. Frank H. Stevenson, Mr. Morgan H. Thomas, Mr. Edgar Freltchy, Mr. T. Edward Ross, Mr. Relan K. Arndt, Mr. John L. Steele, Mr. James L. Rankin, Rev. Walter Duncan Buchanan, Mr. Allan Sutherland, Rev. Roy T. [?] Mr. James F. Schrader

It was decided The name “Westminster Theological Seminary” was tentatively chosen as the name of the new institution. Sub-committees were approved to deal with finance (Mr. Edgar Freilchy chairman) on Faculty and Students (Dr. Robert Dick Wilson, chairman), Promotion, (Dr Frank H. Stevenson, chairman) in selecting temporary site (Mr. Fred M. Paist chairman, it was voted to secure the seminary at once of a registrar and secretary, the temporary site, which will be in Philadelphia, will be chosen in the near future. Then [?]

Movement may therefore be re- garded as [?] [?] [?] [?] [?] [?] that it will receive [?] support From men in evangelical within the Presbyterian church, Who we [?] [?] this action the General Assembly of 1929 charges this [?] of Princeton the official seminary Defend them of their chief seminary and Evangelical Ministerial supply remaining the [?] [?] Due[?] Princeton Seminary and placing a [?] [?] In [?] approve the evangelical Congregation of their chief [?] of members [?] supply and [?] necessary the establishment which shall guarantee the old Princeton Seminary [?] by all of the [?] the Reform a Calvinist Faith

The movement may therefore be regarded as definitely [?] and [?] believer that it will receive [?] support from [?] in the Presbyterian Church Evangelical may [?] Presbyterian Church who up to May 1929 are concerned that this activity the General Assembly of 1929 shall change the control of Princeton Seminary deprives them of their Chief [?] evangelical ministerial supply.
