This collection is arranged in seven different series, many of which are subdivided into sub-series. These series are: 1) Colleges, Universities and Seminaries, 2) Correpondence, 3) Organizations and Associations, 4) Presbyterianism, 5) Scholars and Associates of Harvie Conn, 6) Subject Files, and 7) Writings.
The Correspondence file is by far the most voluminous in this collection.

The Palmer-Murray Collection (Collection 010), along with the Hagberg-Murray, the Smith-Murray, and the Whitman-Murray collections, constitute the totality of papers left by (and not destroyed by) John Murray, who taught at Westminster Theological Seminary from 1930 to 1966. The Palmer-Murray collection consists of photocopies of course lecture notes compiled by Elsie Palmer, who was enrolled in some of Professor Murray’s classes.
